The Sustainability Forum will focus on how our business community, and the community-at-large, can incorporate The Natural Step into their everyday lives.
Local expert Jeff Leinaweaver, PhD, Global Zen LLC and Holly Brunk of The Natural Step USA will provide a primer on the Natural Step process and hold a World Café on implementing the approach locally.
The Natural Step process, originally developed in Norway, provides a clear, compelling, science-based definition of sustainability and a strategic planning framework to help communities make smart decisions that will move them step-by-step towards a successful and sustainable future. And it provides business leaders and managers with a deeper understanding of sustainability as a business opportunity - not a liability. It shows how economic, environmental and social systems are interdependent and how to use this understanding to drive business strategies that will lead to a competitive advantage.
