Karla Piecuch, the Associate Head of
School at the Montessori Country School on BI is raising
money to help the extended Tamang family in Shyabru bensi, Nepal. " I have known this family sincethe late 1990's when I first traveled in the Langtang
district of Nepal. My then-husband and
I, and a very small circle of friends have aided them privatelyin the past....helping them to set up a small business,
assisting in the purchase of their store/home, and we also provide funds to
send their 3 children toboarding school in Kathmandu. They lost everything in the
earthquake....actually, most of the houses in their village were lost; I'm determined to makesure they have assistance in rebuilding their home, as
well as that of their extended family:
their elderly parents also lost their home, as did one of the brothers. I have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for this
effort and would deeply appreciate any help in getting the info out to a the
community at large. Please feel free to visit it and to contact me with any
questions you might have or further information you might need." 206-842-4966 (MCS) My GoFundMe site.
