Wineries

More than 30 years ago, Gerard and Jo Ann Bentryn started growing grapes and making wines on Bainbridge Island. They were also instrumental in the establishment of the official Puget Sound appellation.

Now there are six wineries on Bainbridge, two with their own island vineyards. Some of the wineries are too small to have tasting rooms, but four of them offer regular tasting room hours on weekends, and all do on special winery tours.

Local wines are also available five days a week at Harbor Square Wine Tasting Room, near the Winslow ferry terminal.

This summer the Bainbridge wineries have been offering monthly winery tours.

Coming up:

August 8&9. Hours are 12pm – 5pm.
