Bainbridge Island resident Ed Viesturs, the only American mountain climber to summit all 14 of the world's highest peaks, is one of the many inspiring speakers scheduled to appear at the 2008 Healthy Living Expo at Woodward Middle School. His topic, Making the Climb, is an amazing account of his journey as he overcame physical and mental boundaries to achieve success. His talk will begin at 3:00.

Yes indeedy! Sign me up for the Summer Scramble. I’m ready for a day of fun at the beautiful Wing Point Golf & Country Club. If you don’t have a foursome, you may add players later, or we can fill in your group. If you don’t have a handicap that’s ok too! Just put a “C” (Callaway) under Handicap. 11:00 check-in, 1:00 Shotgun start, 6:00 pm hosted dinner.

NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY NO LATER THAN Friday APRIL 11, 2008May is the month when the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce honors its Business Person or Couple of the Year. We will do so this year at Wing Point Golf & Country Club on Wednesday May 21, 2008. The awards luncheon will be held in place of our regular monthly membership luncheon for the month of May. This distinguished award is a double honor.
Not only does the winner serve as the focal point of our annual banquet, but they are also asked to be the Grand Marshall of the Chamber’s Grand Old Fourth of July Parade. We hope that you will participate and let us know what deserving man, woman, or couple should be considered for this honor.Neither the person being nominated nor the person nominating a candidate need be a Chamber member. Any citizen of Bainbridge Island or any person doing business on Bainbridge Island is welcome to participate.
A project committee of the Chamber Board of Directors and the Executive Director will make the selection of this year’s Business Person of the Year. Our selection requirements include community involvement, participation in business and community organizations and clear evidence of business acumen. Thanks in advance for your participation.
