Signs, Signs, Signs. The mantra of many Bainbridge Island businesses in the year ahead might sound something like, “What’s your sign?” This isn’t the astrological bar question of the 1970s, but inquiry as to the size, shape and coverage area of building and promotional signs. The city, the Chamber and other business groups have been grappling with this issue for years. We’re confident 2002 will be the year the city’s sign code is simplified and a real “common sense” approach is injected into the process.
